Golf Cart Winter Service
Golf carts don’t need a lot of maintenance, but do nothing and you’ll be asking for problems. Annual service differs for electric carts versus gas carts. For electric carts, you will want to carefully clean all of your battery cable connections, replacing any cables where acid has destroyed the connectors. A light coat of terminal protectant will reduce corrosion. Top off your batteries, making sure NOT to overfill (this will cause spillover when charging, corroding the batter hold-downs and battery box. For gas carts, annual tune up should include oil change (and filter is cart has one), fuel filter change, and air filter changes. Spark plugs can be replaced annually or bi-annually. Lube as needed. Consult your owner’s manual for recommendations. Cunningham Golf Car Co has the parts you need if you decide to do-it-yourself.
